To the Mountains….

After nearly 6 years of life in Los Angeles, Malou and I are returning to the pastorate and moving to the mountains of Northern California.  We just accepted the call to pastor Big Trees Community Church in Arnold, California.

It is a friendly group of people that live in a beautiful location just around the corner from the Sequoias of Calaveras Big Trees State Park, and just off of Scenic Highway 4. Yosemite and Lake Tahoe are not far away. Lakes, trees, mountains, rivers and the beauty of God’s creation is all around us.

It will be quite a change for us, but we are very much looking forward to the opportunities that God has opened up for us in our new location, beginning July 1, 2015.

Born and raised in Minnesota, I have served in churches in Minnesota, Ohio, Oregon and California. I am a graduate of Crown College (MN) and George Fox Evangelical Seminary (OR). I have also done additional graduate studies in New Testament Studies at the Center for Advanced Theological Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary (CA). I am also a graduate of the College of Prayer. Having served as the Academic Dean and Program Director at Horizon Institute of Los Angeles for several years, I have returned to the pastorate and serve as Pastor of Big Trees Community Bible Church in Arnold, CA.

    So excited to hear Gods sending you to be with us! Enjoyed meeting you & Malou ~ you were right on that “Grace isn’t just for breakfast anymore….” Fresh blue sky,white puffy clouds & red dirt await!
